Roquefort is the oldest type of blue cheese was made in France and is made of sheep or ewe’s milk. To be classified as this type of blue cheese it must be made from these animals milk. It is strong in taste and smell and it best to be served at room temperature, with a sweet tasting wine.

Gorgonzola cheese is the traditional blue and green mould looking cheese. Some believe that the texture of the cheese looks like it has gone mouldy, but it has in fact aged, leaving it with a greener look. Most people like this cheese for its vintage taste that is of firm texture.

Adding cheese to any meal has become the norm. We include cheese in many of the recipes we make and have it on a daily basis. As it is one of the most popular foods and is in the must eat dairy category we tend to include it in our diet.

We eat cheese for a snack or add it to other meals to go with lunch or dinner. However we use cheese we know that there are many recipes around that involve it. Cheddar cheese is one of the most popular types of cheese in many countries around the world. It is used in grilled cheese sandwiches and is the main ingredient of the ever-famous macaroni and cheese.

Cheeseburgers are one of the most popular items on the menu at McDonalds and cheesecake is not trailing far behind in cake stores. Cream cheese is used in cooking to add a different taste than plan cheese. Invented in the US in the 1800’s cream cheese is now used as a spread, in cheesecake, dip and cream cheese melts. Most people spread cream cheese on biscuits and are eaten as a popular snack.
